Plastic animals

The first week of all things Yellowfish started with me turning up at the studios welcomed by a life size model sheep , maybe providing entertainment for the welsh community of East Sussex?

After being shown round by Rob, a sound engineer at the studio, and DB, the guard dog, I began updating the Yellowfish database as part of a campaign targeting schools in the area for a chance to have upcoming Christmas plays, carols, or shows recorded by the Yellowfish Mobile Studio.

The studio seemed busy with people coming in and out a lot, making it a fun place to be involved with, so il look forward to next week...

Yellowfish music group

As a music promotions company, we have strong ties with like minded companies and organizations. One of these we work closely with is the Yellow Fish Music Group.

Taken from the Yellowfish Music Groups website...

"With a large live room, fantastic equipment spec and spacious Coffee Bar area plus the outstanding mobile recording studio housed in an American Airstream trailer.
The main room boasts a grand piano; house kit; impressive amps; a superb range of vintage instruments including Hammond, Rhodes and Wurlitzer electric pianos; analogue synth and a wide range of guitars including a particularly fine Gibson acoustic. The studio offers analogue as well as digital Pro Tools recording facilities.
We're proud that some of the most prestigious names in music are linked with Yellow Fish, but with a helpful team and competitive pricing, we aim to ensure that the studios are as attractive to grassroots and aspiring artists as to the world famous artists who have recorded here"

Check out their website for more information on the studio, who makes up YellowFish, and what they do at http://www.yellowfishmusicgroup.com/

As part of my personal role at Bigiam, I got asked if I wanted the chance to help out at the studio in Lewes, which I jumped at and have decided to take you all along with me to see what's going on by blogging what I'm up to.

As this is the first post from me, Its only right I should dedicate this first entry to introduce myself and the team here at BigIam so you lot know whos who and what were about!

BigIam is a small but beautifully formed promotions company; a merging of three industry professionals’ experience and expertise contribute to the companies continuing success and every-growing profile. We are based in Brighton and our resources, contacts and influence spread much further afield…
We promote, advise and manage businesses, events and personal creativity linked to music and the arts. Our portfolio is relatively wide and relatively varied; we play a significant role in the development, project management, marketing/promotions and sponsorship of a number of Brighton area based events. Look below for links to a few of the events we are involved with.
